Have you ever wondered what emotions are for Children and how they express them?
Emotions include joy, excitement, fear, anger, and anger. With full awareness, it can be said that emotions play a very important role in human life, it is important to emphasize that, just like other skills, the child learns throughout its life, as well as expanding the range of emotions.
Emotions require empathy skills. Children are just learning it by participating in social life, often in everyday situations. That is why it is so important to develop appropriate ways to introduce children to the world of emotions, and above all, how we teach them to interpret, show and regulate them.
An important element is noticing and accepting the emotions of the Child. One should not deny these states, but rather try to name them and accompany the Child in experiencing them. Sharing the feelings of excitement and satisfaction multiplies positive well-being. The child, by increasing the positive feeling, gets additional energy that enables him to deal with various adversities that may meet them.
We have this knowledge in our Academy, which is why we have created a special program "Language and emotions". The emotional development of a child, like any other sphere of development, requires time and a calm and empathetic approach. That is why we have created a safe space where Children can learn to recognize and react in different situations, be it with their family, with peers, in the surrounding environment, as well as with themselves.
Bearing the above in mind, we propose a program supporting the emotional development of the youngest, combined with active learning of a foreign language. As part of the program, we teach expressing and reacting to criticism, speaking and receiving compliments, active listening, assertiveness, asking questions, initiating and conducting and maintaining a conversation.
In the program, we use methods of dealing with various feelings, both negative and positive. We teach group work and conflict resolution methods. We develop the skills of asking for help. We educate the distinctions to teach, both our own and other people.
During the classes, we carry out exercises supporting concentration, feeling and developing emotional intelligence. Using various accessories such as worksheets, theater props, improvisation, art accessories, teaching aids and many others.
The most common emotions that accompany us are JOY https://languageofchange.pl/2020/09/jezyk-i-emocje/
